The Gokongwei Brothers Foundation (GBF), together with True Value Philippines, a hardware known for its broad and diversified variety of merchandise in the home improvement line, donated a total of 52,304 pieces of wet wipes to several public schools and hospitals in the country.
The partnership between the two companies signifies their fervent initiative to help the Filipino people to win and end the battle against COVID-19. With continued proactive collaborations, both GBF and True Value hope to help ease the effects of the pandemic on the Filipino people.
The Foundation chose public schools and hospitals as recipients because some of the most vulnerable beneficiaries can be found in these areas. At the same time, with the rollout of face-to-face classes, schools are gearing up to ensure a safe and controlled environment for their students through its Brigada Eskwela projects. True Value is actively doing efforts to provide sanitary kits which will include Covid-19 essentials such as face masks, alcohol disinfectants, multivitamins, and anti-bacterial hand wipes from the brand.
Among the public schools that have received kits and wet wipes include Panghulo National High School and Longos Elementary School in Malabon City; Bagong Silang Elementary School in Caloocan City; and Simlong Elementary School in Batangas City.

The donation drive is under GBF’s Juan Community Program for Resilience which aims to strengthen the country’s resilience against the impacts of COVID-19 one community at a time.
