Gokongwei Brothers Foundation believes that quality education is the key to progress. Over the past 30 years, GBF has dedicated itself to advancing STEM education, reaching more than 50,000 teachers with a potential impact to 1.5 million learners nationwide.
GBF seeks to promote STEM education through scholarship grants, technical-vocational training, institutional endowments, educators' professional development, and collaborations with industry and community partners.

The Gokongwei Brothers Foundation (GBF) established the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Scholarship for Excellence (STEM SFE) to help aspiring STEM professionals acquire the knowledge and skills needed for the STEM workforce.

Medelyn Paqueo, a 51 year-old TeachSTEM Master’s scholar, is a student, teacher, wife, and mother—all rolled into one. Pursuing a master’s degree later in life was something Medelyn never expected, especially since she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education, majoring in Mathematics back in the 1990s—making her older than some of her current professors.
